1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Rachel Mona Syme on March 10 2014
Format: Paperback
There are plenty of discipline specific deign history books out there but this is the first one that I've come across to deal with design as a discipline in itself. Well researched and scholarly but very accessible. Well done!

Format: Paperback
Maurice Barnwell was the best professor I ever had at Glendon College University. The stuff contained in this book seems to have been pulled from his highly engaging lectures in his course, "Design In Society." Its availability in print form is welcome and LONG overdue.
