Desperate Housewives: The Complete Collection Deluxe Edition

Hello Everyone, I pre-ordered this complete series box set when I found out it was coming out, and when it finally arrived I was very excited, and opened it immediately. Boy was I surprised! The company that produced this box set needs to re-assess what "quality" means. Firstly, the series' individual seasons were stored in flimsy cardboard "books" (each Season represented separately), and the cardboard which holds the DVDs inside had already come unglued in many of the season sets. In addition, there was even a duplicate disc placed inside one of the sleeves of Season 2, causing that cardboard to lift off its backing even more. Most of the DVDs had traces of glue found on their outer edges leftover from when the factory put together the cardboad separators, which made the DVDs look unattractive. They probably won't play very well, either. All in all, I would rate this box set a 10 if it wasn't for the cheap inside packaging. The exterior case, mind you, was very well put together, and beautifully crafted. I returned my first set, and was sent a replacement copy within 24 hrs (yay for Amazon's fantastic Customer Service!), but unfortunately the same defects were present in the replacement set also. Sadly, I think I'm going to ask for a full refund and get the individual Seasons by themselves. There was nothing wrong with those!

I love this show very much, and I always will. The first four seasons were the best, and the last four were only ok. What happened to the mysteries? What happened to all of the old characters? Even characters like Maisy Gibbons and Tish, who had small roles but the were part of the old DH. DH used to be really funny- and by the end of the show nothing could crack me up. I know the storylines were usually ridiculous, but in season eight it was becoming too old.

Besides these complaints, I loved this show and I never missed an episode. I will miss it!

I'd totally get such an amazing set if I could, sadly I already bought the first seven seasons lol. But this is definitely a great product for anyone who loved the series but just didn't buy any of the seasons yet.
