DETECTIVE SHORT STORIES - 11/37, the second issue published by Manvis Publications. Owned by Martin Goodman, Manvis was part of the "Red Circle" group of magazines, and soon to be publisher of MARVEL COMICS and Captain America. Most of the pulp publishers branched out to publish the more popular four color comic magazines, and yet they kept publishing the pulps. Mostly, because it cost much less to print pulps compared to a magazines filled with four color images like a comic, the comics did lead to the final downfall of the once mighty pulp era!
