4.0 out of 5 stars A good introduction for Ayurveda, April 4 2001
By

Ce commentaire est de: Dhanwantari (Paperback)
Johari's text is pleasant and easy to read and his book gives a pretty good introduction for the subject. Johari as a "Renaissance man" knows how to combine Ayurveda with western knowledge for easier adoption without breaking the original meaning of this ancient Vedic science. It is only that the rest of book is only a list of diseases and their remedies etc., so there is not so much information on this book, only half of the book is worth reading. The book gives good example activities such as waking up early in the morning that you can try the next day and instantly see the results, how much such a lifestyle can alter your life. Get this book, if you want to know what the Ayurveda is all about.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent resource to a life of health, Feb 27 2001

This has been a wonderful book to read in this world of meat-obsessed diet and disease ridden lifestyles. I read it whenever possible to take a peak into the ancient wisdoms of the Hindu prophets who created these techniques for living. It's a fascinating, intelligent book, and a wake-up call to our modern (not always better) way of life.
