2.0 out of 5 stars Over the top...not as great as the first, Jan 19 2005
By Nicole (sexy_chica) - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: A Diamond's Allure (Mass Market Paperback)
The third and final installment of the stonekeeper's adventures. I must say that this story was not as great as the very first installment "The Passion Ruby" where Hawk and Sienna first met. There was much more suspense, action, sensuality, and romance in "The Passion Ruby" where as in this one, Hawk seems to have evolved into a madman. Though, now I understand the true extent of his visions this took away some of the romance. I found it ridiculously funny and overly exaggerated when Hawk literally went "crazy" due to his visions and jumps over a table running off and yelling as if he were some wild animal. I could not contain my laughter.
Don't get me wrong Ms Snoe is a great writer; "the ties that bind" is an excellent example. This one however, is much too over the top and unrealistic.

This review is from: A Diamond's Allure (Mass Market Paperback)
A DIAMOND'S ALLURE is the third book in Ms. Snoe's acclaimed
Gemstones series. Again it features the adventurous Sienna
Russell, the Last of the Stonekeepers -protectors of gems
vital to humanity's future- and the mysteriously enigmatic
Hennessey 'Hawk' Jackson. The two met in the first Gemstone
book, The Passion Ruby.

Sienna never wanted to be a Stonekeeper, but under her
grandmother's guidance, after the death of her parents, she
accepted her fate. She and Hawk have shared adventures too
unnatural to be true, but they have evidence that they did
indeed happen. Out of their adventures a oneness has
blossomed, that surprised them both. It has been six years
since Sienna and Hawk have battled human and paranormal
forces to ensure the safety of one the earth's precious
gems. Sienna was convinced that the last assignment to
protect the emerald had fulfilled her destiny, and she is
ready to settle into a normal family life with Hawk.

But Sienna has one more charge; this time the diamond is in
danger, and this latest mission puts Hawk in thrall to
terrifying visions that threaten to tear them apart. Sienna's
business has taken her to South Florida for a jewelry
convention and what started as a pleasurable business trip has
turned deadly. There are ruthless diamond smugglers on their
track and time is running out. Hawk and Sienna must confront
their most personal fears to resolve the fate of the stolen
diamonds, and at the same time solidify their love.

Ms. Snoe dives into this exciting adventure with and addictive
eagerness, and exposes a love so intense it will change the
course of the universe. She has given readers exciting
characters, heart-stopping suspense and a deeper appreciation
of gemstones.
