From the Director
The three workouts are ideal for consumer and instructor use. All movements are performed with precision and follow a logical choreographed sequence. Instead of having the three workouts on one long videotape, we made it easy to locate the chosen workout by putting each on their own tape deck. It's convenient to pick the workout/level of intensity you want to do on a particular day. One of the best things about Pilates-inspired workouts is that they are highly effective and time-efficient. The cueing is perfect and the instruction will help you focus on body awareness.
About the Actor
Dian Nissen-Ramirez began her involvement with sports and fitness at an early age, becoming a U.S. Women's Trampoline Champion and AAU All-American by the time she was 16. A graduate of the University of Iowa, the Cedar Rapids native has been a member of the teaching faculty at U.C.S.D. and is a consultant to the California Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. She has a Master of Science degree in Health Education and Exercise Science and holds a Gold certification from the American Council on Exercise. She is certified through the Physical Mind Institute to instruct the methods and movements based on the teachings of Joseph H. Pilates. Dian has motivated thousands of all ages to lead a more active lifestyle and achieve better health and well-being through physical activity.
