This is hands down the best reference guide for geology that I have ever encountered. It compiles all of the terms you'd ever want to know about all the aspects of Earth Science in one place, which anyone who has studied earth science extensively knows is a god send, since many terms are impossible to get definitions for through google alone. A wonderful reference for any geology student.

Being an Earth Science major in school, I found this book helpful for most general Earth Science terms, but when it gets down to the more advanced terms (ie for mineralogy, petrography, etc), this book is somewhat lacking. Overall helpful with general knowledge.
