When pint-sized Gary Coleman uttered the phrase “Whatchoo talkin’ bout Willis?” to his TV brother (Todd Bridges) audiences were hooked and a star was born. But the show’s popularity was based on more than the rise of the diminutive, wisecracking Coleman. Diff’rent Strokes was a pop-culture phenomenon that broke through cultural barriers as well.
The story of two-African-American kids from Harlem who move to Park Avenue with a wealthy white widower (Conrad Bain) and his teenage daughter (Dana Plato) not only gave audiences lots to laugh about but gave them something to talk about for eight amusing seasons.

I purchased Diff'rent Strokes Season 3 on DVD. I have been waiting a very long time for this show to be finally on DVD.
This season is simply amazing. I really enjoyed every episode. There is also the introduction of a character named Kathy
which the episode is called Count Your Blessings. I really liked that episode. Gary Coleman was at his top form in this
sitcom. Shout!Factory has done a great job with this DVD. I only wished it had some extras like commentary and biographies
etc. Oh well maybe next time. I believe that Seasons 3 to 5 were in my opinion the strongest seasons in this wonderful show.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 6 looooooong years since Season 2 came out they are FINALLY putting another season out of this awesome classic 80's show. I have NO idea what takes these studios so long to put these out when more obsucre, less popular shows already have full season sets and complete series sets out there. I am part of a growing number of parents with elementary and teen children that are tired of all the raunchy, overly sexualized junk that is being constantly exposed to our children on television. It's wonderful to have access to good, clean, fun television prgramming! Let's thank Shout Factory for taking this one under their wing and let's hope they bring it to its full completion of the full 8 season run. Now THAT's WHAT I'm TALKIN' BOUT WILLIS!!!!!!!

Great Show For Kids!

I have seasons 1 & 2 of Diff'rent Strokes, and I watched them with my son who is now 13, but 10 at the time we got the DVDs. Would you believe he asked me, "Mom, I noticed that nobody cusses in these shows." Hmmmm...and he's right. Nowadays, the crap you see on tv is just too raunchy and over the top with sexual references, etc. Even something deemed PG is a bit much. Glad to see Diff'rent Strokes (my favorite late 70's-80's sitcom) has finally produced the 3rd season on DVD. Can't wait to get this! Season three is the start of the show taking off. I think once Edna Garrett left (and I LOVED her by the way) and they got the housekeeper named Adelaide; the show became a "must see" on Wednesday (NBC) nights!

Thank you so much for releasing the 3rd season of Different Strokes to DVD. I've been waiting for this for years!! Please release seasons 4 - 8 now. I would buy every season if you do. Please please and thank you so much again for bringing season 3 of this classic show back into my life!! :D
