HASH(0xa7451e4c) out of 5 stars The Men with the Horn April 15 2008
By Best Of All - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Michel Legrand arranged, orchestrated and conducted the music for the movie that co-stars Miles Davis as a jazz legend - the fictional character, Billy Cross - who lives in Paris.

But it is trumpeter Chuck Findley who is featured on one-half of the cuts, so listeners hoping for a Davis soundtrack in the style of Ascenseur Pour L'echafaud will be sorely disappointed. The pieces fit well within the framework of the movie, though Findley carries the heavier load on the horn.

HASH(0xa7451ea0) out of 5 stars Miles Down Under Sept. 9 2005
By Stephen Reddy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Some unusual tracks; a blend of music and dialogue in parts. Hearing miles talking is cool though, not to everybody's taste. There is still some good Miles trumpet playing here; I think a worthy edition for a serious Miles Davis collector

Been a big fan of Miles since the sixties, and I have to rate this album in his top ten performances. PS check out the movie too.

HASH(0xa74562dc) out of 5 stars Mucho Davis Sept. 26 2003
By Carlos Guido Soler - Published on Amazon.com
