An interesting concept that basically takes a Flintstones premise and turns it around. While suffering from what appears to be canned laughter tracks there is some sharp writing here. They strike a good balance of slapstick and sight gags with some wittier stuff.
OK, modern life, but with dinosaurs, you could do a show like that, and it may last a while. The writers of the show however knew what they had was a tool to do some biting satire. By having a non-human cast and society they could poke fun at a lot of societal idiosyncrasies, or at times things that might otherwise be controversial. In short they used the premise they set up for full effect. See "Nuts to War" as a good example.
That, and something about seeing Baby on a sugar high flying around the room saying "I'm vibrating." made me laugh harder than I have in a long time.
