Big fan of the Pumpkins at least back in the 90's. This is a nice '45 record, transparent purple. The songs are true to form, and are really great!

Buyer Beware!! FYI... March 29 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com

If you are thinking about buying this CD single, be sure to check under IMPORTS first. This single is actually PART 1, it contains "Disarm" which alone, is reason enough to buy 5 copies... however, the "B" sides "Soothe" and "Blew Away" (by James Iha) are not mentioned above!! Shame on you Amazon! I personally prefer the "B" sides on PART 2 (Heart on cover) which are "Landslide" (an incredible cover of a Stevie Nicks masterpiece, which can also be found on "Pisces Iscariot") and "Dancing in the Moonlight" (a MUST if you like mellow Pumpkins). Due to Amazon's failure to list "B" sides, I am now the proud owner of both... but it was definately worth every penny!

Source of Dancin' in the Moonlight May 12 2000
By Stephen M. Schott - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
What a great song Dancin' in the Moonlight is, to answer the question as to its source, it is a cover of a Thin Lizzy song.

Some of the Pumkins best. Dec 26 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Although this single is only three songs, they are three of the best done by the Smashing Pumpkins. Of course there is disarm, classic pumpkins. But the cover of Fleetwood Mac's Landslide, is simply amazing. And the last, Dancing in the Moonlight is one of my favorite songs ever. Billy's voice just kind of grabs you. I write this review only because I love this CD so much. It is just really good music.
The First Siamese Dream Single Dec 31 2005
By X.Y.U. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This used to be exclusive, but not anymore with Pisces Iscariot. Buy that instead. You'll get a ton more b-sides. And just buy Siamese Dream along with it or download this track. It's not hard to find. If you don't want all that, then just get this.

Anyways, the song "Disarm" is pretty good, but not as good as some other Siamese Dream tracks such as "Cherub Rock" or "Today." There's not enough rock for my taste really. But if you like this better then go for it. "Disarm" is sort of acoustic, and I can't figure out what it's about. After that is the track "Soothe," which was recorded in Billy Corgan's (the singer and guitarist of this band) bedroom and it's a demo version with good quality. This is the first on Pisces Iscariot. Then we have the final track "Blew Away" which features James Iha (guitarist and part-time vocalist) on vocals. It's ok. That's all for this.

The other releases of Disarm have been better. The next one is called "Heart" (this one was called "Smile") and it is way better. Look at my review for that one. There is also a VERY rare one that features the title track along with the outtake "Siamese Dream." This was not included on the album "Siamese Dream." I think it should have been because it would have been the self-titled track. Oh well. Check out those they're a little better.

Overall Grade 7/10 (Not so hot these days with Pisces Iscariot)
