5.0 out of 5 stars Smashing Pumpkins - Disarm (Vinyl) May 21 2013
By Joel Andrews TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:LP Record|Verified Purchase
Big fan of the Pumpkins at least back in the 90's. This is a nice '45 record, transparent purple. The songs are true to form, and are really great!

4.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware!! FYI... March 29 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com

If you are thinking about buying this CD single, be sure to check under IMPORTS first. This single is actually PART 1, it contains "Disarm" which alone, is reason enough to buy 5 copies... however, the "B" sides "Soothe" and "Blew Away" (by James Iha) are not mentioned above!! Shame on you Amazon! I personally prefer the "B" sides on PART 2 (Heart on cover) which are "Landslide" (an incredible cover of a Stevie Nicks masterpiece, which can also be found on "Pisces Iscariot") and "Dancing in the Moonlight" (a MUST if you like mellow Pumpkins). Due to Amazon's failure to list "B" sides, I am now the proud owner of both... but it was definately worth every penny!

5.0 out of 5 stars Source of Dancin' in the Moonlight May 12 2000

Format:Audio CD
What a great song Dancin' in the Moonlight is, to answer the question as to its source, it is a cover of a Thin Lizzy song.

5.0 out of 5 stars Some of the Pumkins best. Dec 26 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Although this single is only three songs, they are three of the best done by the Smashing Pumpkins. Of course there is disarm, classic pumpkins. But the cover of Fleetwood Mac's Landslide, is simply amazing. And the last, Dancing in the Moonlight is one of my favorite songs ever. Billy's voice just kind of grabs you. I write this review only because I love this CD so much. It is just really good music.
5.0 out of 5 stars Disarm + 2 Quality B-Sides Nov. 2 2003
By Kristian - Published on Amazon.com

Billy Corgan's 'Disarm' is one of the Smashing Pumpkins best-known songs, and for good reason. It features intelligent and touching lyrics, and very emotive music. The video clip fits the song perfectly, matching the whimsical and bittersweet mood of the song.
This single is a gem because of the quality throughout. Both 'Landslide' and 'Dancing In The Moonlight' are amazing tracks, and show how the Smashing Pumpkins can cover a song and make it their own.
'Landslide' is a Stevie Nicks cover and is the highlight of the Smashing Pumpkins' 'Pisces Iscariot' B-Sides collection. It is Corgan at his best, with emotional, soaring vocals and powerful music. It is 100 times better than the recent Dixie Chicks cover. Sometimes I wonder how this song was never a #1 single...
'Dancing In The Moonlight' is the final track, and for most Pumpkins' fans, the reason for purchasing this single (seeing as it isn't on any other album). It's an awesome track (also a cover) and holds true to the restrained and moody feel of the cd. A friend of mine lists this as his favourite Smashing Pumpkins song. Corgan's beautiful vocals compliment the melancholic instrumentation, adding to the overall mood.
Anyone who picks this up will be thoroughly inmpressed - I was lucky enough to come by it in a second hand cd store. This is why the Smashing Pumpkins were as great as they were.
