5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Research Tool! April 15 2012
By Texas Boomer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I have several books devoted to genealogy online research. I must say that this is about the best in my collection thus far. It is truly a step-by-step guide. I have discovered numerous new ways of searching for my ancestors in each chapter of this easy to read and understand book. Chapter Eight on Land Records is worth the price of the book alone. The "Putting It All Together' chapter includes the use of mindmapping as a tool to help you overcome brick walls in your research. It is kin to the case study boards that law enforcement uses to solve cases.

If you haven't discovered Nancy Hendrickson's book then by all means invest in a copy. It will not disappoint you. This book belongs on every genealogist's book shelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent reference Jan. 25 2013
By Ham74 - Published on Amazon.com

Nancy has done a great job at putting together a current and useful reference for researching genealogy on the Internet. Since I'm teaching a class this semester at the local college on this subject, I have found her book useful in preparing for my class. If you want a good basic reference on using the Internet in your research, of the many I have seen and purchased to date, this is the best I have seen so far. Good job Nancy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth its weight in gold! July 28 2012
By Kathryn M. Watts - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book is great even for the more experienced genealogist and those who are very computer savvy. I consider myself an advanced computer user and an intermediate level genealogist. I learned many techniques that I was able to implement and extend one of my family lines a few additional generations. I would highly recommend this book especially those who need to do most of their research online.
