Always forgetting to DEFRAG your Hard Drive? Simple Solution., May 4 2010

Perhaps one of the most forgotten maintenance items is the simple act of DEFRAGGING your hard drive. When you forget, then files get fragmented and scattered across the hard drive.Imagine having to go to your closet for socks, your guest bedroom for pants, and the laundry room for a clean shirt. The time to dress would be greatly shortened if everything were in one convenient place. When a file gets fragmented, the hard drive has to go to multiple locations to gather all that file's data (Socks on Track 1, Pants on Track 171, Shirt...).
Diskeeper 2010 does a great job of keeping the complete file in one location on your hard drive. And since the longest time to do anything on your PC is to retreive a file from the hard drive, you can save time when the file data is contiguous (sequentially all together in one place) in the drive.
Diskeeper runs in the background as you do your PC work. You will not need to manually DEFRAG your files again. Just load the software and let it do its thing. My Norton 360 always tells be my hard drive is 0% fragmented when I run a complete virus check. Diskeeper also works to keep the most frequestly used files on the hard drive tracks easiest (quickest) to read.
Would highly recommend this software to the folks who are not PC Tekkies that love to constantly tweak their PC's performance. Just let it handle the DEFRAG issues for you. Diskeeper Pro 2010 handles all your Windows 7 needs.

This software does exactly what it advertises, keeps your hard drive defragged. It operates manually or automatically and is Win 7 compatible.

I've always used Diskeeper and this is the best version of it yet. You really can set it and forget it. I've been using my computer for weeks and just analyzed the hard drive today and found only one or two fragmented files. Awesome!
