Party Pleaser,

When we have family get togethers, everyone enjoys this DVD. For myself, I thought this sing along format was a great alternative to showing my children (ages 2-3 boys) the full-length movie. Certain scenes from the Lion King and Aladdin are too scary for them. With this format, the main songs and scenes are highlighted. The best song is "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" - a surprise inclusion.

I just got this DVD and I think it's great. I have most of these songs on CD and listen to them all the time, so I got this DVD because it takes it a few steps further with the words and clips (I also have Sing-Along VHS's from when I was little). I especially like the Timon and Pumbaa songs that are from the TV show (I have "Yummy, Yummy, Yummy" on a CD). I do skip a few songs, but my real critic is on "When You Wish Upon a Star" at the end. You go from the upbeat "Jungle Rhythm" from Jungle Book 2 to Pinocchio's slow and somewhat draggy "When you wish Upon a Star" (I skip it so it leaves me hanging). I would much rather have "Singing to the Song of Life" from "Tarzan and Jane" or one of the Phil Collins songs from "Tarzan".All in all, it's good for kids and anyone who likes Disney's jungle songs.

My 2 year old nephew likes it, and that's all that really counts. I was disappointed, however, that since this was a LION KING sing along, they only had 2 songs from the lion king on it- Circle of Life and Can't wait to be king. Hakuna Matata SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON HERE. I am disappointed because it's not on there. Other songs include "Part of your world" from little mermaid, "Prince Ali" from Aladdin, the song from Beauty and the Beast from the beginning of the movie when she is singing with the village people (there goes the baker with his tray like always, etc), and wish upon a star from Pinoccio. I find it kind of boring, but my 2 year old nephew loves it! That's all that really counts. Great for kids!
