Having been a fan of the Eurythmics for many years, I was somewhat skeptical about Annie's solo debut. There was just something so magical about the collaborations between her and Dave Stewart, and I expected that magic to be absent here. Gladly, I was wrong.

I have had this CD since it was released some 14 years ago. Well, I had the cassette first, then I upgraded a few years back to the CD. I still don't tire of listening to this CD, and I particularly will always enjoy "Walking On Broken Glass", "Little Bird" (the best song on the album), and "Money Can't Buy It".

Annie has proven that Dave wasn't the only extraordinarily gifted songwriter in that duo, and her vocals are in top notch form here to boot. I also own her two solo albums that came after this one, and I look forward to more from her. It's just too bad we have to wait so long between releases. Oh well, while I'm waiting, I'll just keep listening to this CD.

I can't believe that after all these years since the release of 'Diva', i am writing the first review here.
Overall, this is an impressive solo debut. The weakest tracks on the album are the first two singles. It has taken me awhile to appreciate the first track and single 'Why'. Still not one of my favourite Annie songs and 'Walking On Broken Glass' sounds a little dated to me. However, the rest of the album is full of classic Annie tracks like 'Cold' (have you seen her do this song live? Amazing), 'Precious', 'Little Bird' (the best single released) and my personal favourite 'Money Can't Buy It'.
