Andrew Lloyd Weber's favorite leading lady will quickly make her mark as a pop artiste. Vocally, the Kate Bush analogy is accurate, but Brightman is far less adventurous and hence more accessible. --Jeff Bateman

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST! Aug 6 1999
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This album I just keep coming back to. Particularly the first 9 tracks, which flow seamlessly together. The 9th track is one of my favorite songs, and I can listen to it over and over. By far the best Sarah Brightman recording. I wish she would get back to this style of music instead of the recent opera-like covers she's been doing (i.e., Time To Say Goodbye).

4.0 out of 5 stars Brightman's "Dive" Feb 4 2006
Format:Audio CD
This album is the first of everything is Sarah Brightman's career, her first of many 'themed' albums, first collaboration with future partner Frank Peterson, and her first step to becoming one of the worlds most famous crossover artists

But everyone has to start from somewhere, and this album showed the talents of Sarah and her imagination through a water-themed recording. Favourites of mine are 'Captain Nemo', and 'A Salty Dog'. This album didn't show Sarah's operatic vocals as much as usual, but you could still hear the difference between the sensual beat of 'Once In a Lifetime' to the passionate, almost heaving voice of 'A Salty Dog'. This is a great album.

5.0 out of 5 stars probably her best May 30 2004
Format:Audio CD
I recommend this disc to anyone who loves Brightman. I feel this is her best disc. The most touching performance and the sound is great.
