5.0 out of 5 stars World Premiere Recording, Mar 15 2005
By J. Burton - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Divertimenti Da Camera (Audio CD)
Ero Maria Barbero plays an 18th century Hemsch harpsichord in a world premiere recording of the eight divertimenti for harpsichord, Op.7b (1722) by Giovanni Bononcini (1670-1747).

Bononcini went to London in October 1720, and his first two seasons were outstandingly successful, ... his Divertimenti da camera appeared in two editions, a plain one for an accompanied treble instrument and an ornate edition for harpsichord alone.

The works on this recording:

Divertimento da camera No. 1 in C major for Harpsichord

Divertimento da camera No. 2 in A minor for Harpsichord

Divertimento da camera No. 3 in E minor for Harpsichord

Divertimento da camera No. 4 in D minor for Harpsichord

Divertimento da camera No. 5 in G major for Harpsichord

Divertimento da camera No. 6 in G major for Harpsichord

Divertimento da camera No. 7 in F major for Harpsichord

Divertimento da camera No. 8 in C minor for Harpsichord
