This book is just the perfect size. Every page showcases excellent photographs of diving destinations. The writeup for each site tells of its Depth, Visibility, Currents and Dive Type. There is also basic travel info about the destination itself and includes brief articles about how temperature change has affected the site and animals you may expect to encounter when diving.
My one qualm is that the dive sites are all exotic destinations for a North American traveler: Maldives, Indinesia, Micronesia, Solomons, Galapagos, Grenada, Egypt, Fiji, Phillippines, Thailand, Australia, East Africa, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea.
The Mexico Chapter is very good and the Central America chapter is pretty good too. I would've appreciated a chapter on west coast diving sites and kelp forests, but this book takes an entirely tropical focus.
If you have an interest in world travel and diving, this is the most informative and beautiful book I have come across.
