WINNER OF...
-The V.I.R.A. Awards- Finalist

This historic program presents Dizzy Gillespie and his band in a fascinating demonstration of the magic behind the moment in 1942 when he composed A Night in Tunisia -- the anthem of the bebop era that introduced Afro-Cuban rhythms to the mainstream of American jazz. Beginning with his band in rehearsal, this video culminates with a dynamic concert performance.
