Amazing little gem,

I just finished watching this amazing little gem of a series and was so impressed. Four episodes that watch like four perfectly written short stories, each one distinct, separate from the last. I have seen some other gay-oriented tv series over the past year, like The Lair, Noah's Ark, and Dante's Cove. However, the DL Chronicles definitely stands out from the crowd. The acting is superb, the character development is intriguing, and most of all, the writing is so good it should be up for an award. And it doesn't hurt that the men are all beautiful. For anyone who likes a bit of depth to their dvd watching, this one's a gem. I hope there will be a next season of this one, because I can't wait.

I really didn't know what to expect of the DL Chronicles, as I seem to buy a lot of gay-themed cinema and TV instead of trying to find them on an obscure television station. But it was particularly good, well-acted for the most part, with each story quite different. There are 4 episodes narrated by the writer, Episode 1 -- "Wes", 2 -- "Robert", 3 -- "Boo", and 4 -- "Mark". I really liked the "Robert" episode best, but each has its merits. The DL Chronicles are NOTHING like Noah's Arc. Noah's Arc is a comedy, and is quite light-hearted without a lot of character development, whereas the DLC's was more dramatic, with better characters overall. I liked how these were modern stories, which smash stereotypes, plus some of the actors who play the characters are very easy to look at :) This is worth the $20 or so and I have already found myself rewatching the episodes. I wasn't sure what to expect from DL Chronicles. I'm very surprised! Pleasantly surprised! High production qualities, strong cast, good writing et al. I'm very pleased with getting this! I've already re:watched some episodes. A handsome cast and good writing make this a winner. Recommended! :)
