enjoyable love story, May 2 2000

Dr. Reed Atchison is the product of generations of glacial Atchisons, so he believes that he can never be nurturing, ergo, he's not having kids.One night his coworker Seth challenges him to find a do gooder; if they do, Reed must do a good deed as well. Mindy Harmon, a down-on-her-luck waitress, does, indeed, help someone less fortunate and Reed offers to let her stay at his spare condo before she's evicted.
I liked Mindy's cheerful attitude despite her terrible situation, and the way Reed slowly warmed to her and to a future with her and her baby.
