Product Description

'I blame those new Brainy Crisps. Since he started eating them, he's been too clever by half'. Can eating a bag of crisps really make you more clever? The company that makes the crisps says so, and they seem to be right. But the Doctor is worried. Who would want to make people more brainy? And why? With just his sonic screwdriver and a supermarket trolley full of crisps, the Doctor sets out to find the truth. The answer is scary - the Krillitanes are back on Earth, and everyone is at risk! Last time they took over a school. This time they have hijacked the internet. Whatever they are up to, it's big and it's nasty. Only the Doctor can stop them - if he isn't already too late...A short, sharp shot of adventure, featuring the Doctor as played by David Tennant in the hit series from BBC Television.

3.0 out of 5 stars A quick read, Dec 14 2010

This was a fast read, I knocked it out in one evening. Appropriately priced though for a short story. While it wasn't the greatest work I've ever read, it was a fun story and made for an enjoyable evening. If you are looking for a quick read this is a good choice.

Don't expect a lot from this story and you won't be disappointed; well, maybe not as disappointed.

This book is a short read and is very matter-of-fact and to the point. It is obviously written for a young audience and that should be taken into consideration before tearing it apart. All that being said, I wouldn't list this book as a great work of children's fiction either. Basically, it's cheap dimestore pulp.

Pay the two bucks, get a quick Doctor hit, and move on.

2.0 out of 5 stars Blech, Mar 16 2010
By D. OBrien "BSDetector" - Published on Amazon.com
Not a bad story idea (though little more than a re-working of the episode "School Reunion"), but some of the worst writing I've seen in publication - choppy, matter of fact, overly declarative, mundane, and inexcusibly redundant prose. It frequently precedes action with a line like, "And then the Doctor told them his plan." This the first Doctor book for Kindle with which I have been highly unsatisfied.
