From the Back Cover
A wealth of loyal and dedicated search dogs perform critical and often surprising jobs every day, including finding lost or abducted children, identifying unmarked Civil War grave sites, recovering avalanche victims, discovering dangerous gas-line leaks, and pulling drowning swimmers to shore. Search dogs have even been used to find skin cancer with better accuracy than doctors!
