As the first Dog Eat Doug collection, this book features 43 weeks' worth of strips beginning with the cartoon's 2005 debut.



About the Author

Brian Anderson has entertained a number of cartooning pursuits dating back to second grade. In 2003, Anderson became a husband, a homeowner, and a father to a chocolate Labrador puppy. With the support of his wife, Tammy, and the inspiration of his dog, Sophie, Anderson launched Dog Eat Doug in 2005. The family lives in Boston, MA.

I started reading Dog eat Doug about a year ago and like most pet owners I see many parrallels between Sophie and my dog. The book is fantastic and it has been wonderful to see how the Sophie and Doug's saga started.

Simple, yet hilarious. It's been a while since a comic strip has caught my eye. And even longer since a comic has made me laugh out loud or feel the need to clip it out and stick it on the fridge. I have read a lot of reviews that compare Dog Eat Doug to Calvin and Hobbes and I have to say I see it. This one is a lot less philosophical and complex, but these two get up to much hijinx.
Was so happy to learn there was a book out! Read it, loved it and highly recommend it!
