3.0 out of 5 stars DCFMA Remixes Feb. 1 2003
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
If you've heard the remix on the radio and are wondering what exactly you're getting on this CD, here's a rundown:
1. Miami Mix Alternate Ending: This is the foundational remix, or in other words, the remix to which all other remixes on this CD are based on. It is called Alternate Ending because they added an additional part at the end.
2. Miami Spanglish Mix:The same as the first mix except the choruses are sung in spanish and it does not have the alternate ending so it's a bit shorter.
3. Miami Mix Edit: The radio edit of the first mix.
4. Miami Dub Mix: This is the only one that sounds remotely different from the rest, it's slightly more of a house mix, more keyboards, but still has the latin influence.
5. Miami Instrumental: Exactly what it says it is
6. Miami Spanglish edit: The short version of remix #2
So, overall, this is a maxi single based on 1 remix, i think they should have included more variety..however the remix version is nice so it's still worth it. If you can find them, check out the remixes for Buenos Aires, also done by Pablo Flores (but promo-only).

4.0 out of 5 stars Collector's Heaven July 14 2004
Format:Audio CD
To most of you out there who are Madonna fans, the following won't really mean anything to you. But to those of you out there who are collectors, you know why this CD is such a great buy.
From all the releases of this single (world-wide) this version is the only one (except for promo versions) where fans can get the following mixes:
* Miami Mix Alternate Ending
* Miami Spanglish Mix
Most countries only released 4 track versions of the above single with the edits and/or album version available.
I think these mixes are great, not only from a production point of view but also from an emotional one. Everyone expected this to be a single from the start of Madonna's involvement in the film, but what nobody saw coming was that dance mixes would be made.
In all, for serious collectors out there: A MUST HAVE.

2.0 out of 5 stars what happened? Oct. 21 2001

I wouldn't usually give a Madonna CD single two stars, but these dance remixes have to be the worst makeovers of a Madonna song I have ever heard. Madonna has re-recorded her vocals and not for the better. She sounds bored and she oversings as if she is Shirley Bassey. The original album version was stunning and surprisingly moving, but these remixes sound campy and unintentionally hilarious. Madonna, who usually picks great DJs to remix her songs, should have found some others (Vasquez, Hex Hector?) to do the job here. A real disappointment.

4.0 out of 5 stars I was surprised June 26 2000
Format:Audio CD
I was surprised when I heard the dance-remix of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" on the radio. To my big surprise, I liked it. That was really a big thing 4 me, since "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" is one of my emotional favs. All the remixes are great - not too inspired, but they'll make you dance. Really Latin-like, and groovy. Some of the tracks are pumped up with the impressive chorus singen "Evita, Evita". Others give you something special with Madonna singing a Spanish version of the song. Nice.

4.0 out of 5 stars No Need to Cry for Madonna! Oct. 31 2001
Format:Audio CD
I LOVE Madonna, and recently I have been gathering all of her singles in order to complete my collection. Many are good, a few are not worth the effort to insert them into your player. This, however, is a great album. It is lacking in variety, but the tracks put such a great spin on the emotional Evita classic. It is great fun, and sure to get you on your feet! Buy this CD and have some fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely worth buying July 9 2000

These mixes take the "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" song to a new level. The hip-hop beat works really well with the song. The only minor drawback is that the mixes sound somewhat similar to one another.
The Spanish version is a welcome addition. I almost like the Spanish lyrics over the English ones. They really add something to the song.
