Product Description
Set in the peaceful kingdom of Slimenia, Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime is suddenly invaded by a mysterious cartel called the Plob, who then proceed to kidnap all the slimes in the capital city of Boingburg. The only slime left behind, Rocket, must embark on a journey to save his friends and uncover the Plob's nefarious plot.

Well, at first I was rather dissapointed in how simple the game seemed. After all, you're a blue slime (The most common monster in all of the DQ games), who jumps, and stretches to attack enimes.But then the tank battles came into it. And wow did things change FAST! Not only dose the item collecting become more important, (Especially after Alchamy comes into the picutre) but the importance of monster collecting coes out too. Tank Battles themsevers are the best part of the game. You can't simply reload and shoot, or you'll never win. You'll be outgunned. To win tank battles takes some work. Evetually you get an amusing group of co-pilots and the stratigy part of the tank battles REALLY kicks in. The game itself is dissapointly short, but still fun even after the game is over. With bonuse battles to fight, and unlocable tanks, there is plenty to keep you busy. One MAJOR drawback is the less then iteligent AI. Especially in tank battles. With a bit of work you can cripple some foes dead easy. Especially with a team group involved. Overall thought, this game will keep you busy for a good 20 to 30 hours just to beat it. With all the extras (And multi-player tanks battles) you could spend far longer enjoying this game.

This was the second game I got for the DS -- at the time, I was working for Square Enix, so I got a giant pile of SQEX DS games. I had the most fun with this one, honestly.And that's what this game is--silly fun. The AI is kind of predictable, and the game itself is really short (I think I had all 100 slimes in 15 hours of gameplay), but it was really fun and enjoyable while doing it. It's also incredibly cute--take the catnip to the cat, or just read the puns throughout the whole game. It was definitely worth the price, though. I really enjoyed sliming around.

The characters are cute and unique. Game play is fun and challenging (when looking for objects or fighting opponents). It's certainly one of the better games designed for the DS.
