I usually buy the start guides when I buy the game, but I do not even look at the guide until I play the game though once, these guides just allow me to find more if I get stuck or want to do everything there is to do in the game. This guide is complete.

I wish there was more information about synthesis. Each of the monsters were featured but not all options for synthesis were described.

One of the worst guides I've encountered Jan. 27 2012
By HULLDUCK - Published on Amazon.com

Before I state anything else, note that I use this guide strictly for the monster, weapon, trait, and skills list. That being said, the guide in general has a hundred spelling and grammar mistakes that points to bad editing on Brady Guides part. It even goes as far as to give false information because of typos; in example, it has Atlas as an M ranked monster even though there is no such rank, and it has Great Dragon as a D ranked monster even though it's an A ranked monster.

I buy a guide to be completely accurate and give me as much information as it can. This guide fails on all fronts. The monster guide is completely vague, making synthesizing monsters more of a hassle than it should be, and its inaccuracies make me fear trusting in it. For example, instead of listing whether a monster should simply be bread with a certain monster family of a certain rank, it gives examples of what you could synthesize. It's often times hard to tell what the common factor is in the examples, so you waste time trying to find or synthesize the certain monster, only to later find out that it could be bread with ANY creature at all to make the monster you wanted.

Not bad, but wtf... July 27 2013

This guide works truthfully for only a small amount of things. It helps find stuff in the areas and it isn't half bad for walking you through the game.... Not that you need it cause they always tell you what you need to do in the game. Where it fails is all over the board. They don't tell you which levels give you skill points, they don't list anything major about skills and traits that will help you decide what you want to use on each monster, They do not list the easiest, EASIEST possible synchronizations for a majority of the monsters which is just stupid. Oh, and the big one. They DON'T EVEN LIST ALL THE MONSTERS. They are missing the big ones like Rigor Mortis, Zenith Dragon, and Barbaros. <.< What is the point of even doing that. How does one get 100% Synchro with that.

Guide for you Jan. 14 2012

i just love this book. The game has taken up quite a few hours of my life and having the book really has enhanced the gaming experience. If you really want to get every ounce out of a game, I think these guides are perfect. I enjoy looking at it in my spare time too. Its good having each and every monster's stat information available to easily see, where to find the monster and help or ideas for synthesising them. Very good tool if you are really into the game.
Good But incomplete. April 11 2013

This is a good guide but certain things are missing from this guide. First they do not have any section explaining WI-fi game play prizes and ranks to get prizes, second they do not list ALL the Monsters (7 of them to be exact) no stats or info on them.Third they don't explain how to activate the zip portal in the very final portion of the game. Overall still a good guide.
Honestly I just wanted this March 29 2013

Beating the game is easy enough so what I really really wanted was the list of monsters that takes up a huge chunk of the book. The breeding and stat info is awesome since all the Dragon Quest or Dragon Warrior games change names and ranks for monsters all the time.
