I'm afraid I don't at all agree with the other reveiewer. This must be one of the most BORING books I've ever read! Absolutely full of insignificant everyday trivia page up and page down. Nothing happens, apart from dragons sneezing and coughing, and there is very little, if any, "Show-don't tell".I don't get any pictures at all, so still have no idea what most peolpe and places look like, not much mannerisms or speech patterns either, so still keep mixing everyone up. I'm over 200 pages into it and STRUGGLING... When is something going to happen in this story...?

This is GREAT! Todd(the littlest drummerboy) is truely carring on his mother's tales of Pern. He has the same feel of Pern and the love of it's people that his mother has. If you are a true "PERNESE", you will love how Todd is filling the spaces of his mother's Saga.
