As a reader of more scientific texts than I'd like to admit, this book is dry by comparison. It is no more than a curiousity and a poorly done one at that. The author may have been trying too hard to make it sound factual. It does get points for the subject matter and taking it on as a scientific subject. The best part of the book is the ending in which a 'diary' is shown of a student of the dragons.

3.0 out of 5 stars An interesting, past-time read. Oct 13 1998

I am an avid fan of Dragon information and this book provided quite a lot of that. The book makes bold claims as to the validity of the existence of such creatures but never once produces any proof of their existence. They claim to have pictures but never show any save the ones where the Dragons are 'hidden'(or mimed as this is the term they use). The only year mentioned in the whole book is the published date(1980, not 81 as in the description). No addresses are published and only references to 3 pages of Bibliographical cited material. All in all, I was unimpressed with a book that was trying to convince me that Dragons do exists. I am currently trying to follow up on their claims, checking references and such.
