About the Author
As a young girl, Patricia Getha spent many summers looking after and showing horses. Drawing played a large role in Pat’s life from an early age, but it was a love of horses that enabled her to master the subject. With formal training in commercial and graphic arts, Pat is proficient in a variety of media, including watercolor, graphite, oil, and colored pencil. She is active in juried competitions and has won several awards for her exquisite equine artwork. A mother of four young children, Pat currently resides in Ohio and works primarily as a commission artist.

I bought this for my 11-yr-old daughter to help advance her drawing skills to the next level. She loves it, and is already improving her technique. Plus, she loves horses--so this is a great motivator for her. I highly recommend this to those of you who are looking to improve and/or advance your drawing techniques.

This is a well done little book on basics. I gave it to my nine year old Grand daughter for Christmas., She was delighted.I used it as a guide for form and shape on a couple of paintings of my own. Very helpful.
I gave it four stars because I view this book as a good start for beginning artist.

Excellent. Well written with fantastic illustrations. A great book to learn how to draw horses from. Raised horses and find this it a good source for any level of artist or artist want to be.
