5.0 out of 5 stars Every office should have one July 21 2009
By Heather
Format:Hardcover
An invaluable resource for any family medicine or obstetric office - or any office, really, where one sees pregnant patients. Has more information, in general, for breastfeeding exposure than for exposure in pregnancy, but that reflects the available literature, rather than fault of the authors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book April 14 2010
By S. Musielak - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Easy to use and navigate, great summary sections for each drug with respect to pregnancy risk and breastfeeding, and all important info is color-coded and at the beginning of each monograph for quick reference if you're short on time. As a pharmacist, I reference this text a lot now and love it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great resource, but not for Kindle July 1 2013
By R. Fleming - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I bought the Kindle edition of this book and immediately returned it. There is no way to readily go to
the monograph on a particular drug. You can do a painfully slow search and bring up every instance where that drug appears in the book but you can't just, for instance, go to the "C's" and bring up "Codeine." The index is there but no page numbers. Totally unusable. I went to Skyscape, a seller I am not particularly fond of, and paid $20 more, but have a totally usable product. I found this same concern with "Williams Obstetrics" for Kindle but kept it because I got a good price and being able to bring up a subject very rapidly is not as much of a concern.

Every OB GYN and Fam Practice office should have at least one of these reference books. Information is concise and easy to find on the category of drugs in relation to pregnancy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great resource Dec 26 2011
By TML - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I bought this to update my old edition when I was pregnant with my daughter. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is pregnant or nursing. I don't take any medications on a regular basis but it was great to have when winter hit and I got a cold. I didn't want to call my doctor every time I had a question. I used it when I was nursing too so I knew for sure if I could take anything when I got a sinus infection. It really came in handy. I've lent it to a few friends and they've really like it too.
