DUSTINED FOR GREATNESS!!!!!,
By DESTRO ATTACKS (loDIE, new joisey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dust To Dust (Audio CD)
Ironically the first time i ever heard from these guys, was when playing an obscure capcom videogame based on the HEAVY METAL franchise (GEOMATRIX) the song submission and mr.doe was part of the game's BGM. thus i purchased this self titled cd, and it exceeded my expectations. these guys actually have potentual to be the next static-x or powerman 2000 but in a different direction. rob traynor's vocals add more depth to the power packed songs, like dead inside,if i was god, stay away..etc. this is my kind of METAL. emotionally charged songs and lyrics accompanied by nice guitar riffs , a touch of synthersizers and of course social commentary.anyway here's the lowdown. MR DOE 4/5 IF I WAS GOD 5/5 POTTERSFIELD 3/5 SUBMISSION 5/5 BREATHE 4/5 DEAD INSIDE 5/5 BLACKEND LOVE 3/5 NO SURPRISE 5/5 In closing i had the priveledge of meeting these guys after performing at NYC's Continental. cool band unfortunetly SICK was their last album. i wish em the best.

Spread the Dust,

This review is from: Dust To Dust (Audio CD)
Amazing, not many rock bands nowadays come wit such a punch as DTD. Lead man Rob Traynor is an amazing writer, singer, and bassist. Lyrics the reach deep in your soul, tear out your heart, and leave you for more. Along with a Rockin' band to back him up. These guys should be in the Rock & Roll Hall 'O Fame.

A clone of Dope, and a bad one at that,
By
This review is from: Dust To Dust (Audio CD)
Dope are an original industrial metal band that mixes techno samples, party rythyms, jackhammer beats, and heavy music together and make a raging soundtrack. Dust to Dust is just a clone that uses slower music and one of the worst vocalists I have ever heard. It might not seem like enough to dismiss them, but it is. Making your band into a carbon-copy of another is all to common these days. Don't get this because you might as well just put on Static-X or Dope, who sound just like the guys... except Static and Dope are talented. Don't get this... it's not worth it.
