Some of the world's greatest classic video games are making a triumphant return! Now, with e-Reader technology, the code for an entire game can be stored on a stack of just five cards! Just slide the e-Reader cards through an e-Reader attached to a Game Boy Advance and you're ready to play.

In Mario Bros.-e, Mario jumps and kicks his way through slimy sewers crawling with bad guys. While dodging snapping jaws and clamping claws, try to collect as many coins as you can!

The Mario Bros.-e card pack comes with five cards. Scan all five cards into your e-Reader accessory for Game Boy Advance, and you're ready to play!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun!, July 5 2004

This review is from: E-Reader Mario Bros (Video Game)
This is a fun arcade game. I really hate all the new nerd video games with " plot lines" that get to dramadic, so that's why I only play old arcade games. Mario Bros is were you run around kicking turtles crabs and some other things out of pipes. This is so much fun and it's better that the Super Mario game by a long shot. I like the Super Mario game, but this will always be better! Get, you won't be sorry.

3.0 out of 5 stars 3.5 stars - a classic, Feb 8 2004

(TOP 500 REVIEWER)
This review is from: E-Reader Mario Bros (Video Game)
INTRODUCTION:
Mario Bros. is an arcade-style action game that was originally released in arcades circa 1983, and it was the first Mario game to name the character of Mario (prior to this game in Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr., the character was simply referred to as Jumpman and was a carpenter, not a plumber.) This game also introduced Luigi to the series, as well as the turtles that would go onto become legendary Mario enemies. A few years after this game arrived in arcades, it arrived on the NES gaming console. And now, the game has been revived for the E-Reader gaming accessory! Read on for my critical review of Mario Bros.

PROS:
-SIMPLICITY IS THIS GAME'S GREATEST STRENGTH. Unlike the video games that have dominated the modern-day gaming industry, this one is easy to learn. You jump and move, and that's all there is to it.
-IT'S EASY TO LEARN BUT TOUGH TO MASTER. Generally, games that stick close to this styling are the best kinds out there.

CONS:
-YOU CAN'T KILL TURTLES BY JUMPING ON THEM IN THIS GAME. In this game, you must kill all enemies by hitting the ground under them, overturning them, and kick them to kill them. Mario vets are so used to killing turtled by jumping on them that this game is bound to confuse them if they've never played it before.
-GAME PLAY IS A BIT REPETITIVE. Just about every enemy is killed the same way, and the stages lack variety.
-WHERE'S THE STORYLINE? The Mario and Luigi characters don't really add a whole lot to this game, and there is NO STORY!

FINAL WORDS:
Overall, this is a classic. If you've got an E-Reader, this is a game worth discovering - or worth rediscovering, if you played it on a previous system. Don't rush right out and buy an E-Reader just to play this game - it's not THAT special. However, if you've purchased one, this is a game that's well worth checking out.
