Product Description

From Amazon

"Each Peach Pear Plum. I spy Tom Thumb!" In this engaging, interactive book for the very young, familiar nursery-rhyme characters such as Mother Hubbard and Baby Bunting sneak their way into the gentle drawings. Even young children who might not know all the fairy-tale stars can find them lurking in the cupboard, on the stairs, or deep in the woods. In the happy finale, the whole cast meets up for plum pie in the sun, where the little one on your lap will gleefully find everyone. An American Library Association Notable Book. (Baby to preschooler) --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too many guns for an otherwise sweet book. Oct 3 2000
By A Customer
Format:Board book
We just weeded this book out of our collection.

While thiswould be an otherwise charming book, there are simply too many pageswith the characters toting guns.

This is not meant to be censorship. But we feel kids are exposed to guns everywhere in our culture, so whynot filter a few out when we can?

Let's reward the writers andpublishers who print gun-free books.

There are SO MANY wonderfulbooks for kids out there. We're taking the small step of weeding outbooks with guns until our kids are a bit older.

5.0 out of 5 stars Story Time Again... May 30 2011
By Reader Writer Runner TOP 50 REVIEWER
Format:Board book
Part "I Spy," part nursery rhyme, this intricately illustrated book unites classic characters such as Tom Thumb, Mother Hubbard and Bo-Peep. Ahlberg writes in clever but simple rhymes, making the text easy to memorize. All the better to concentrate on the figures hiding in the pictures!

5.0 out of 5 stars Each Peach Pear plum Dec 29 2010
Format:Paperback
I have been ordering this book for 20 years and sending it or giving it to the newborns in my world. I did not know that there is a tiny version of it - about 4 by 6 inches- This is what amazon sent me and it is very disappointing as it does not do this wonderful book justice.
