Saw EFC a number of years back - I was able to get the first sesion on DVD in the UK - but have not been able to obtain a copy of the following sessions until now - now I have a copy - OK on NTSC - have to play on multi-region DVD player as in UK - but worth it for a brilliant series

The show is the show, but the DVD release is long overdue.
The main flaw is that the packaging for these sets is very strange. The lack of spindles and folding packaging cause the discs to fall out and slip around. Most of the time they aren't damaged, but there's a great possibility for it. It's obviously an experiment gone awry that has upset a lot of people (CBS DVD in America's model would have been more secure and appreciated), but it's not a dealbreaker. The picture quality here is better than the first episode of Psi Factor Season 2. Where that set had a lot of artifacting (possibly due to the quality of the source materials), but the picture on this set isn't too bad. It is fullframe (I'm not sure if Season 2 was widescreen), but it doesn't hurt the presentation. There is a little grain but the picture is fairly clear and well worth the price. In short, if you're a fan, you could do a LOT worse. This is a very good buy. I just wish Alliance had gone for an easier answer to the packaging as that seems to be the worst complaint.
