A day I wished would never come,

Easily, one of the worst science fiction films of the last 10 years. Keanu is wooden, and is certainly no Michael Rennie. This is a movie that should never have made. Blu-ray admitedly looks great, but that's all this is -- pleasant images on a big TV to distract you from the disaster that is this remake. The heart of the story has been gutted, the great character that was Klaatu has been replaced by Ted Theodore Logan aka Neo.Hollywood, please leave the classics alone. You can't make 'em better with computers and Keanu Reeves. Avoid, unless easily amused.

I saw the original movie of The Day the Earth Stood Still and enjoyed itbut this one "Blew my Mind" in the vernacular of today. The graphics were excellent and the story held my attention from start to finish. It was a believable movie and worth watching again. You wont be disappointed, that is if you are a Science Fiction buff like I am. No, I don't care for all Science Fiction movies but the more modern and believable ones are to my taste. I recommend that you add this to your collection!

there is really nothing else I can say about this. I can really describe it any further, I wouldn't want to give it any sort of glorification by coming up with any extravagant word... just STUPID!!!
