This is the best Earth Wind & Fire DVD you can buy. April 30 2009

AS the title says, This is the best Earth Wind & Fire DVD you can buy. There is a similar DVD with the same name Called Earth Wind & Fire, Live in Japan 1998. But that one is only one disc and just the DVD of their 1990 concert. This one is two discs, one is the DVD concert and the other one is a cd of the concert. Eventhough the explanation is vague, the DVD is the full and complete concert but the cd is not. The cd contains almost everything that's on the DVD but where the DVD shows in track # 12 Let's Groove the song contains in the middle a long drum solo by Sonny Emory, the cd does not have the drum solo. But for some strange reason they put in the track where all the band members are introduced to the audience.

For $6.00 more this is still the best buy and a definite must for any Earth Wind & Fire fan.

Just got this dvd. It exceeded my expectations. I am a long time Crimson fan. But I don't always like some of the CDs and DVDs. This one is a winner.

Great DVD From A Great Band Jan. 20 2011
By Brandon J. Smith - Published on
Format: DVD
The sound and visual quality is great. The only problem with the DVD is that it was shot in a 4:3 aspect ratio. If you have a 16:9 TV, you will have black bars on the sides of your TV. Otherwise, this is a great release.

Bootleg June 3 2010
By Magma2 - Published on
Format: DVD
This DVD is a bootleg. I would bet the price of the dvd that it is a scan of the VHS tape (which I own and is superior quality). Plus, there is an annoying WT logo blazoned on the upper left corner. I bought it hoping it was a digital scan of the original. It's not.

Still a great show and a great line up of a great band. Hence the 1 star.

Relax Guys! A Little Stressful to Watch Dec 10 2012

I am a huge Earth, Wind & Fire fan, and am fortunate to have been able to see them play live back in the day, 1976 - 1980. I bought this DVD, but was disappointed to see all the songs played too fast, like someone thought to be relevant, everything had to be sped-up and driven harder the original. I was hoping to share the excitement of a live EW&F show with my love, and instead we looked at each other, as each song was cued up a little or a lot too fast, and the stage moves came off as too rehearsed and slick. That said, the music is actually very good, the singing and precision horn work are fabulous. There's a solo by the (new?) guitar player that is just amazing, and both Maurice and Phillip sound good--quite an accomplishment after 30 years!

I bet the DVD Amazon sells that is "Live 1981" will be a big improvement; a better representation of the EW&F live performances I remember. Maybe tEarth Wind & Fire In Concertry that one if you want the classic sound.
