The Tattooed Vegitarian,
By A Customer
This review is from: Easter Everywhere (Audio CD)
Plenty of great Psychedelic music hear. "Slip Inside This House", "Slide Machine", She Lives(In a Time of Her Own), and I've Got Levitation" surely rank as some of the most classic acid rock tunes of all time. The vocals on "Nobody to Love" knock it down a notch, the only one where Rocky Erickson doesn't sing lead vocal, but it's got plenty of great lead guitar on it. "I Had to Tell You" also is not quiet up to par with the rest of the music but still not bad considering the high quality of the album. Rocky Erickson's vocals are great to this listener's ears and instantly recognizable. Tommy Hall's electric jug add alot of flavor and personality to the group, also great 60's psychedelic lead guitar. A snap shot in time that still sounds good today. Psychedelic rock just as I remember it. This band had to be one of the strangest bands around, a great band to see live. They seemed to burn out fairly fast and really put out only two truly classic records and I do mean classics, "The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators", their first and "Easter Everywhere", their second. This is a limited edition with improved sound quality, no extra filler which I say is good, just what you got on the original. Definitely rcommeneded to any aficianado of Psychedelic Music!
