Product Description

From School Library Journal

Grade 3-5?An excellent source book of 175 crafts, costumes, and decorations that will prove most useful to caregivers and teachers. Once the required materials?recycled, in most cases?have been gathered, none of these projects should take longer than an hour for even the least experienced crafters. Average-quality, full-color photographs show the finished products.?Carole B. Kirkpatrick, Terminal Park Elementary School, Auburn, WA
Copyright 1995 Reed Business Information, Inc.

From Booklist

Gr. 3^-5, younger with adult help. Children as well as their teachers will like this book, which is filled with homespun ideas well within the grasp of elementary-graders comfortable using scissors, tape, and glue. The masks, costumes, and decorations included are made largely of paper products, with an occasional pie plate, dowel rod, or cotton ball thrown in. There are a few diagrams to show cutting lines, etc., but kids will have to rely mostly on the written instructions, which are, for the most part, clear, and on the full-color photo of the finished project that accompanies each description. Projects are indexed by material. Stephanie Zvirin

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Crafts, May 31 2004

The crafts in this book are great. There are so many projects in this book that everyone is bound to find one they like. Some are so simple that they are almost ridiculus. Even if you do not think you are a crafty person you will find a craft you can do in this book. As a pre-school teacher I have used various crafts in this book as patterns for larger or more detailed class projects. This is a great buy at a good price.

Whether you are a school, public librarian or someone who works with children, this creepy craft book is for you. Spiders, skeletons, ghosts, witches and more are all created from easily found materials. You can make the projects easier or harder depending on what age group you are working with. Get craftin' with your kids with this boo-tiful book. Other books in the series are just as great.
