This book has some good recipes but I was disappointed that a lot of them contained more sugar than I want to feed to my kids. I know kids like treats, but I was hoping for more main dish ideas, treats are easy to find. Also the recipes seem to be targeted more to older kids. The recipes I have tried have been very tasty. This book is probably better suited to families with older kids who need extra help making the switch from a processed food laden diet.

This is a great cookbook for kids entering the Paleo world, but not necessarily my top pick.

The book contains a story for kids, followed by recipes. The recipes are written to children (for instance, in a tone that adults might find annoying or patronizing) which I found a bit annoying, but might appeal to some readers.
The recipes all list which allergens they contain, but the frustrating part is there are next to none that are totally allergy free. They are all heavily nut-based, so if you have a nut allergy, this won't be your best pick. The photography, which the authors even acknowledge, is not the best or the most appetizing.

My favorite Paleo cookbook is actually Practical Paleo, where I found coconut flour based recipes for muffins, and meals and menu ideas that the whole family can enjoy.

That said, if you are able to eat nuts and eggs, this is a great starting point to find some new recipes for your kids.

I ordered this for my grandchildren to encourage healthy eating. They were excited to eat like dinosaurs and my daughter and son-in-law are making changes in the foods they serve. It is a great way to introduce family to a life-changing diet.
