When it comes to explaining current economic conditions, there is no economist readers trust more than New York Times columnist and Nobel laureate Paul Krugman.  Term after term, Krugman is earning that same level of trust in the classroom, with more and more instructors introducing students to the fundamental principles of economics via Krugman’s signature storytelling style. The new Third Edition of Paul Krugman and Robin Wells’s Economics is their most accomplished yet—extensively updated to offer new examples and stories, new case studies from the business world, and expert coverage of the ongoing financial crisis.

5.0 out of 5 stars Completely Satisfied! Feb. 25 2014
By Tina Ortega - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I rented the text book I needed and it came quickly. It was described in good condition and when it arrived it was like new! All the other books I have bought or rented with Amazon have been good. I thought the experience of ordering text books online would be troublesome but I actually like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book but where's the Kindle? Dec 24 2013
By Dr. Marvin Happel - Published on Amazon.com
I've been teaching Economics for 50 years and this is the best freshman text I have used. The theory and material is sound and up to date. It does break somewhat from the traditional hard line support of all aspects of Capitalism but the basic theory is very much main stream and solid. My problem is that I am teaching in an English language college in a Third World country and because of the logistics of getting books into this country, we are switching entirely to Kindle. This means that if this book is unavailable in Kindle before February, I will have to choose another book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Book, but... Aug. 16 2013
By Joel Mc - Published on Amazon.com
As long time "student" of Krugman+Wells (I am now 73), I know that the book is great. However, with a price tag of some $160.00 it is not surprising that there are likely few takers even if they have been tempted by the excellent columns and blog. By the time you buy it here in Geneva, only the 1% can afford it and we already know that they don't really like to read such stuff.
