This is a great book. I've learned so much from it that it's ridonkeyulous. I never knew about decisions made at the margin/marginal benefit or opportunity cost before. I always thought company pricing was random. i.e. they set whatever price they feel like on their products. You see this with a lot of hi-tech devices nowadays...a cell phone costs almost as much as a cheap used car. Hopefully, for that price, they will be able to make cell phones "beam me up, Scottie" in the not-too-distant future. It Would be a worthwhile feature that would merit their prices. Anyhow, I digress. This book is written really great. Maybe that's too good, because I got used to the User-friendliness of Krugman's books, and now my current classes books seem so boring and uninteresting. (It is not economics class). I wish Krugman wrote the books for this other class, because I kind of miss his way of making a book interesting, content structure and flow, illustrations, colorful humor, charts & examples to show what he's talking about, re-caps that are actually useful, and just the overall layout of Krugman's book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Book, but... Aug. 16 2013

As long time "student" of Krugman+Wells (I am now 73), I know that the book is great. However, with a price tag of some $160.00 it is not surprising that there are likely few takers even if they have been tempted by the excellent columns and blog. By the time you buy it here in Geneva, only the 1% can afford it and we already know that they don't really like to read such stuff.
