This review is from: Edible Wild Plants: A North American Field Guide to Over 200 Natural Foods (Paperback)
This book features color photos almost exclusively, and each entry has the common name, scientific name, region of proliferation, as well as preperation and foraging tips.I did a *lot* of research before buying this book, and the main thing I appreciated was the fact that the book has full-color pictures. My only caveat would be that the description said "north eastern" North America, yet only a small percentage of Atlantic Canadian plants are featured. Still a 5-star book in my honest opinion.

Informative and almost all color photos. Wouldnt bet my life on this book alone but its worth its weight. Its a really good book if your in the Northeast usa. Wish there was a more in depth poison look alike section.

I bought this book for homeschooling. My 8 year old daughter LOVES it! She's become very good at identifying plants. Even in the backyard she has found edibles! We're hoping to take it on a camping trip soon and see how much food we can forage!!! I love to see my children, not only acquiring survival skills, but also connecting with the earth and realizing the bounty God/nature has provided for us. Food does not come from packages from grocery stores, it comes from the earth! As a society we've become all too disconnected from our food. One thing we've learned as a family, when you eat as God intended, all is well. Every aspect of life is transformed for the better. This book has been a great resource in furthering our journey as raw vegans.
