Hellbilly Deluxe and the Sinister Urge are better than this album but Educated Horses still has something that you just can't hate. Just saw him in concert in Detroit and this cd just got better for me. Keep listening. It grows. American Witch, great song.

Interesing album...
I've only listened to it twice, and am a bit surprised that it's not as hard as I would have thought. I'm assuming that this is partly due to Rob Zombie's growth as an artist. But saying this, the album is quite good, definitely has some catchy tunes, and is definitely not for the mainstream public! But what Zombie album is? I think this album is a keeper, and does have some funky tunes!

The first half seems to have most of the new southernish pop-rock, while the second half feels like more familiar non-singles from the first Zombie albums. There is very little of the hard rock recognizable from the first, but the new Zombie sound that began here is great to listen to.
