Useful book with good illustrations,
This review is from: Edwardian House Style: An Architectural and Interior Design Source Book (Paperback)
This useful book clarifies Edwardian design as a bridging style between Victorian and Art Deco. Some elements of both are well illustrated. Those familiar with the excellent book "Homes & Interiors of the 1920's" will recognize this style as Edwardian in fact if not in name. In North America, Edwardian style persisted until 1930. This book helped me to distinguish the ornate and heavily wallpapered style of the Aesthetic Movement from the much plainer Edwardian style that followed it.

I used this book for restoring an Edwardian home that had been stripped of its details in the late 1950s. An invaluable resource for designing stairwell banisters, interior columns, and crown moldings, as well as a guide for antique shopping to find appropriate period light fixtures and stained glass windows. Couldn't have gotten by without this book!

Edwardian Compilation,
By M. Lunsford - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Edwardian House Style: An Architectural and Interior Design Source Book (Paperback)
This book does a wonderful job of compiling all those little details concerning Edwardian Home Styles... I tried for a long time to find a book to do research for my dollhouse, and this fit the bill perfectly. I found all sorts of interesting info, and the seller was wonderful too!
