Timed to coincide with the release of the 2001 remake of the Sinatra, Martin and Davis anti-classic Ocean's 11, Eee-O 11 serves less as a best-of than an introduction to the high-living nightclub ethos the Rat Pack embodied. Along with some true knockouts, mostly from Frank's catalogue, the collection includes some impossible corn (a "When You're Smiling" that seems to be putting Dino himself to sleep) along with a couple of straitjacketed studio takes on the Pack's onstage antics (both Sammy duets). Handily, it culls one of the original movie's few high points--the rousing Davis blues that provides this disc's title--for a closer. Those drawn in by the newer film will find this a welcome package, as will swingin' initiates looking for a road-trip CD soundtrack. --Rickey Wright

5.0 out of 5 stars Sitting on Top of the World June 24 2004
Format:Audio CD
This album is not live album. It's just a collection of their songs. Released when remake of Ocean's Eleven is released. Sinatra is singin' "I'm Gonna Live Till I Die", "(Love Is) The Tender Trap", "Mr.Sucsess", "You Make Me Feel Son Young", "The Lady Is A Tramp", Chicago" and Witchcraft". You can also hear him dueting with Sammy Davis Jr. on "Me And My Shadow".
Dean Martin is singin' "Ain't That A Kick in A Head", "Volare", "When You're Smiling", "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You", "Sittin' On Top Of The World" and helping Sammy on "Sam's Song".
Sammy Davis Jr. is singin' "Too Close For Comfort", "A Lot Of Livin' To Do", "The Birth Of The Blues" and "Eee-O Eleven" and two previously mentioned duets.
The collection is great, sound too. So, Swing This, Baby!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Masterpiece! Jan. 10 2004
Format:Audio CD
A brilliantly compiled array of tunes from "The Kings of Entertainment". Each Artist is individually showcased, and there are even a few duets. These guys were not only talented friends, but they always seemed to have fun working together. I'd recommend this CD to any Rat Pack fan!

This is a definite "MUST" for those who love Sammy, Dean or Frank. If you love them individually, you're gonna REALLY love them together. Every song is jumpin'. Feels like you're right there listening to them on stage! Feeling gloomy? Just put on this CD! The liveliest music I've ever listened to!!

This is one CD that I can truly say has some of my most favorite songs of all time. The duets with Sammy and Dean, and Sammy and Frank are great! Frank, Dean, and Sammy solo are just as mind blowing. If you're some Clyde who likes N'Sync and Brittney Spears, this gasser of a CD won't be your style. This is martini and cigarette music. The music comes from a time when swingers swung, and music meant more than it does today. If you like swinging beats and classic voices, this CD is a must have.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ain't That A Kick In The Head! Nov. 21 2002

Format:Audio CD
This a very cool CD that any Rat Pack fan should love to have in their Rat Pack collection but I have to say that the main reason I got this CD was because I loved the songs Ain't That A Kick In The Head, and EEE-O 11 when they were used in Frank, Sammy and Dean's movie Ocean's 11 and I love those songs but the rest of the songs are great too. I have noticed though that the recordings on this CD of EEE-O 11 and Ain't that a Kick in the Head seem to sound a little different then how they sounded in the movie Ocean's 11 and I'm wondering if there is a soundtrack for the movie. I would buy the soundtrack if it was available but anyway I do like this CD and I recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good old songs Aug. 11 2002
Format:Audio CD
Dean, Frank, and Sammy. What else is there to say. The first three songs you may recognize from the HBO movie The Rat Pack (which is in itself a terrific film). The CD has no dialogue from the Summit's, just some great songs from these three talented guys. Truly the BEST of the Rat Pack as the title says!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Eee-O-11...It's a gas!! June 30 2002
Format:Audio CD
I had bought a Rat Pack collaboration before this one and quite frankly, it was bombsville. An 18-karat dud. So when I bought Ee-O-11...I was hoping for something with more songs, better quality, and more of a kick. My hopes were high. Thankfully, I was not let down.
This album more than made up for the previous. The songs are a real testament for the talent these guys had. Some of the highlights are "Ain't That A Kick In The Head", "Eee-O-11", "I'm Gonna Live Til I Die"(I've adopted that one as my theme song...). The whole mix is of such great quality of sound that I can picture myself sitting in the front row at the Sands. The upbeat tunes are equally spaced between the soulful croones so it's impossible to get bored.
I suggest that anyone who likes to swing and have a good time buy this album. It'll liven up any clam-bake and will defintely make you look like a big-leaguer instead of a harvey.
