This review is from: El Mariachi (Special Edition) Bilingual (DVD)
After recently purchasing this 2007 released edition of El Mariachi as a gift, I was pleased that they have done a better job on the transfer giving this version a sharper image with better colour than the previous version. Added to this was a story that seems far more serious and less farcical than the rest of the trilogy, I was too bad that they could not bring back some of the original actor to reprise there role in Desperado and Once upon a time in Mexico. I Still enjoy this very low budget original, even though some of the actors parts seem a little hokey it just seems more realistic due to fewer explosions, etc. If you liked the rest of the trilogy and need to see where things started then get El Mariachi as it seems to have much more heart and NO Quentin Tarrantino :P

A Good Movie, but,

This review is from: El Mariachi (VHS Tape)
Once again, when I put in a search for Colin Mochrie, El Mariachi comes up. But Colin is not in the movie. I don't know why this happens. Same with Tell Me No Lies. He is supposed to be there, but is not. Not in end of movie credits on either movie. Puzzling.
