4.0 out of 5 stars sanitair Oct. 26 2010

I have only had the vacuum a short time, but allready it has shown its worth. It is lighter than I expected and easy to use. there is no diconnecting and reconnecting of hoses to use the wand, you just pull it out and use it. The suction is excellent. the amount of dirt removed from an area that I had just vacuumed with our old vacuum was very telling. I would recomend it to anyone. only the price was a little daunting.

3.0 out of 5 stars hepa Filter needs constant cleaning March 23 2007
By Karen A. Heiner - Published on Amazon.com
The vaccum has good suction, only if you empty the filter constantly and clean the hepa Filter out by knocking the dust out of it and brushing it every time you empty the filter, otherwise you lose suction.

the attachment hose/tool works good and is easier to use than the Dysons attachment tool. I know I will have to replace the hepa Filter soon, because it gets harder to clean each time. Other than that, for the price it is good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy, Effective, Economical March 20 2010

The price is highly competitive with other, more heavily advertised, bagless cyclonic vacuums. Assembly was simple. It's easy to use and very, very effective. It's lighter than many but heavier than some. Still, it picks up a great deal of dirt, especially pet hair, is easy to clean--including the two filters--and exceeds the performance of our previous lightweight bagged upright substantially. Included tools are easy to set up & use, though the flattened end of the crevice tool should be longer. Overall, it's an excellent product that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, OK and Bad Feb. 25 2009
By P. Wagner - Published on Amazon.com

I bought this for our church.

The Good: it ran relatively quiet. It sucked debris very good, on bare tile floor and carpet, easy to use, nice long hose.
The OK: A little difficult to re-attach the dust cup -- not that big a deal.
The Bad: After having it one month someone, not me, vacuumed up a few pieces of shattered safety glass. It now sounds like a lawn mower. A Vacuum repairman told me although called a commercial, it really isn't. He said the brush roller was damaged and it was not part of the warranty. I guess it makes sense a hollow wood roller isn't as durable as the old steel ones. You would think they could take a little beating though, since it is "commercial".

3.0 out of 5 stars Good as a vacuum, dubious for commercial use. Jan. 10 2013
By John P. Grider - Published on Amazon.com
This unit is described as "bagless/cyclonic" but is not a true cyclonic vacuum -- instead of a cyclone tower at the top of the collection canister it has a pleated paper air filter (some reviewers confuse this with the HEPA filter).

The canister is easy to remove from the unit. Emptying the canister is problematic. To empty the canister the operator has to twist the lid to remove it. The lid's locking tabs are made of thin plastic that visibly flexes. Putting the lid back on the canister is a little tricky -- the pieces do not mate up easily and I can envision a careless operator applying too much pressure to rotate the lid into place and breaking off the plastic locking tabs. Flimsy construction is not what I expect in a unit that labels itself "commercial".

The pleated air filter at the top of the collection canister is easy to remove. It is cleaned by knocking it against a hard surface.

The HEPA filter is easy to remove, and easy to incorrectly install. If replaced incorrectly (it takes considerable force to snap-seat the filter in place) the unit will blow a sidestream of non-HEPA-filtered air into the room. Again, disappointing that a unit labelling itself "commercial" has a key feature that a careless operator can screw up.

The unit is light and easy to maneuver, and it's easy to change the roller height setting. Operators are likely to place the dust attachment incorrectly in the accessory tray and cause it to fall out/get lost.

Apart from these operability and construction drawbacks, the unit does a really good job cleaning the floor. On our first use we picked up over 2 lbs of dirt in a ~2000 sq ft building that our old vacuum cleaner left behind. The HEPA filter kept the room air clean.

So to sum up, this unit works well as a vacuum, mislabels itself "cyclonic", and has a couple of parts that could get ruined in the hands of a careless operator so it may not prove durable in a commercial setting.
