Installation takes forever (atleast 1 hr) on a P4 2.8ghz, with 500meg ram but hey you're installing the game plus all 7 expansion packs... Really good fun. Watch your clock while you play or you will be missing work! Addictive!

I have always been the Sims lover ever since when I was a young child. From the beginning games of Will Wright's production: SimCity, SimTower, SimCopter, etc... and the list goes on and on, "The Sims" first came out into the market in the early year of 2000. I was stunned by its magnificent structure of the game's composition and design, and its hilarious aspects of crude humour and mature rating, it gave me a sense of passion for interior design and building families and life itself. I had a deep passion of loyalty to Will Wright's amazing Sims collection.Anyway, The Sims was actually one of the major games that I took seriously investing my money and time for. I took the effort and ability and time to understand The Sims' patterns, style, and design. It boost my hand coordination skills while playing this game so much that I was so fluent with my fingers on the keyboard (I was 10 at that time) that I was able to type without looking at it. So think of it as a good way to improve your uber micro skills. It also quickens the brain's reaction and functionality. It's a fun game, as long you have not approached to The Sims 2, then you'll be quite safe with this game for a long period, unless you're highly tempted to play Sims 2 because it's just heavy down into the market at the moment. I can understand that, but waiting is also one of the many things that drives us for more motivation and determination. It brings up the fire in our hearts and desire! It creates ambition and happiness and anxiety! Wow, that was intense. But anyway, I loved the expansion packs, especially Super Star, I loved how the Sims were able to sing and dance and do acting, I wish they have something similar to that in Sims 2. However, Sims 2 is only still developing to become more "realistic" and "complex" in the game design zone, by creating rain, snow, chills, and extremely hot days in The Sims 2: Seasons expansion pack, which was actually originated for Sims 2: Original, however, there were several complications due to a bug in the coding. In addition to creating something similar to of The Sims: Vacation and pretty much copying from The Sims 2: Bon Voyage. Ah, gotta love how they connected The Sims: Pets and The Sims 2: Pets, now that's something you can never miss out on! Anyway, the only major cons in this game is that there are no sense of development when it comes to evolution. Only when it comes to when a baby grows up to a child but never to an adult. Because there are no genetics or data that can conjugate it. In my opinion, never get kids, they are constantly going to school for no future. The best ways are to send them to military school, pretty much the only way to get rid of them. I suggest Sims 1 to give you a good sense and capability and the environment when you play Sims 2, so Sims 1 is like a training wheels for Sims 2, due to its complexity or rather "advancement". Overall, I find it a very good game, sorry for being a bit vague about Sims 1 alone, but I find it a very good game, with tons of objects and so many things you could do, and it's just hilarious. Go ahead, have fun with your sims. The last thing you would need is to get serious when it comes to having the perfect family and all that, which to me, is a bit boring. Although I do that most of the time in Sims 2, only because I have an obsessive-compulsive disorder when it comes to being good and perfect and neat.... but not in real life anyway :P ... I just seem to care a lot for my sims ... >_<;;
