Once again stepping into the role of the heroic Commander Shepard, gamers command their crew on a suicide mission in space. Players must assemble their squad from amongst the galaxy's most powerful mystics, geniuses, and convicts and lead them on a suicide mission to discover why humans are vanishing from the galaxy. The success of the mission hinges on the squad recruited and their loyalty to the mission. Shepard's future depends on it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dumbed down the RPG aspects, but still an great experience, April 10 2012

Sure they eliminated a ton of abilities and individual character customisation (what applies to Shepard's equipment applies to all teammates'). The story and everything else help keep this one of the best of this generation, and the original Mass Effect had flaws that are being overlooked suddenly. The interactive comic does a great job of catching new players up (I played the 360 version of Mass Effect) and I was initially worried about this idea. The DLC included is great, and effort was clearly put into it, unlike some DLC for other titles. There are some flaws and some tedious parts, which prevents this from getting a 5. The story also feels short, but I clocked 30 hours and left a far amount not completed. Overall on par with the first, despite some design changes.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must buy, story, gameplay, graphic, voice acting, sound all A+, July 5 2011
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Mass Effect 2 (Video Game)
The male Shepard voice actor is kinda week for sure, but the female one is great. It might be the best single player experience on PS3 and the addition of the Mass Effect one comic and the DLC make it worth every penny. It take at least 40-50 hours to get through properly(do all the loyalty mission)and replay value is high because of the paragon/renegade conversation trees, also playing as one of the different character class.

A few tips if your new to the game.
-Play as femShep
-Rank up to combat mastery level 4 Shocktrooper right away and either play paragon or renegade so you can be at 100% for the end of the game.
-Play on hard because normal is to easy and not a challenge at all.
-Aside from the added DLC don't buy any of the weapon/oufit packs they're unnecessary. The Arrival DLC is good but not amazing, only get/play it once your 100% done and just want more Mass Effect like me.
-I played and a soldier but some of the other class are good as well but don't allow you to use an assault rifles, which really are the best weapons. Later in the game you get to have your choice biotics from the loyal members of you team no matter what class you choose.
-Lastly do not do the IFF mission until you have done all the loyalty mission and when your doing the suicide mission put Miranda in charge of your other squad, you'll regret it if you don't.
-Oh and save often you never know what you'll end up doing and wanting to undo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best ps3 game you can spend your money on., Nov 16 2011
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Mass Effect 2 (Video Game)
This is byfar the best ps3 game i've ever played. To compensate the fact that we ps3 users did not get the 1st ME game, we get a digital interactive comic book to make the important choices in the 1st game that make a serious impact on the story of the 2nd game. We also get the "cerberus pack" and a decent amount of dlc. The ps3 version of the game is running on the same engine as Mass Effect 3 will be. The story-telling in this game is spectacular and every choice you make in the dialogues and in a handful of missions affects how the story unfolds. There is so much to do in this game, you will easely spend at least 40+ hours with your first playthrough. And believe me, it won't be your last. I believe that mostly anyone can find enjoyment in this game. Do yourself a favor and click on the "Add to cart" button RIGHT NOW!
